I have never learned as much about horses as I did the summer of 2005. I was riding with a trainer in Germany, Martin, who taught me the basics of all horse training and everything I know today. He taught me about horse shows when I got to go with him and his team to my first real big show, the European championships. He taught me the importance of having a horse with heart when he let me ride his own favorite horse Lemon Starlight.
If anyone has taught me more about riding than Martin its Lemon. I have never ridden a horse with a bigger heart than him, he would do anything you asked from him, walk through fire if he had to. I spend that whole summer with Lemon and Martin, learning more and more by each day.
But the summer came to an end and I had to go home to Sweden, hoping Lemon would still be there when I returned later that fall.
Lemon had been for sale and of course I wanted nothing more than to take him home with me! Unfortunately that was not possible, but Lemon did end up with a new owner in Sweden. A youth rider up here bought him as her new show horse. The Lemon I knew was gone and was now a completely new horse. The new owner pushed him too hard and Lemon was not a horse that handled stress very well, he started to do bad in the show ring and got a reputation as a pretty but useless horse.
I moved to the states and then later to Germany, getting news from home every now and then that Lemon was for sale or that he had a new owner. That's what happens to horses that gets missunderstood by the owner, they just get sold.
His current owner is training with Martijn who owns the barn I have my horse in and she is on vacation this month.
Imagine how surprised I looked when I came in to the barn and Lemon Starlight was standing next to my horse Grace. I hadn't seen this horse in about 5 years and here he was, My Lemon...and he looked just like he did that summer in Germany, except for a few more gray hairs.
Im sure some of you are thinking “ but horses cant remember people”, yes they can. They do. And I know he remember me, and I know he could feel that I remember him and that Iv missed him all these years.
Lemon got me to think of that summer all those years ago... life was a lot more simple then, but was it better? I dont know.. I just know how life is right now and its not that bad, its alright, and that Lemon is here. Next to Grace.

I’ll seek you out,
Flay you alive
One more word and you won’t survive
And I’m not scared of your stolen power
I see right through you any hour
I won’t soothe your pain
I won’t ease your strain
You’ll be waiting in vain
I got nothing for you to gain
I’m taking it slow
Feeding my flame
Shuffling the cards of your game
And just in time
In the right place
Suddenly I will play my ace

just another one..
Copenhagen was an rewarding week. Long exciting days at Terminal 2 with a lot of scandinavian customers and some germans and italians, Evenings with good food and company and encounters with interesting people to say the least.
A lot of people were interested in our products and its always nice to show collections that gets good feedback from people at places like this. We had new styles from all of our ten brands and Im proud to work with them all, ofcourse there are some brands that I like better than others but I dont dislike any of them. Some of the most popular styles this week was the Red Brick line from Sanders, Gardener and Rigger from Williams and the new short Engineers from Prime.
As last winter we had dinner at Custom House who has the best sushi Iv ever had. Its so good that you cant eat normal sushi for weeks after just because nothing can compare to the sushi there.. Its fantastic.
I got to meet some very interesting people this week, some of them I´ve met before, and some of them Im hoping to meet again.
Viva Copenhagen!

Copenhagen
In just a short time we will be on the road on our way to Copenhagen! The Fashion Week has already started and the trade shows will open their doors tomorrow at 9 am. We have all our brands with us, the same seven brands we´ve alway had and two new ones that I havnt even seen the samples from! We are showing all these brands at Terminal 2 and in a showroom at Skt Petri Hotel.
Last night we went shopping for some last minute stuff, such as pens, calculators and knifes, cuttingboards, glasses, napkins etc for the drinks and snacks!
My camera has been stolen, so I cant take any pictures at all :( I accidently left it at a café here in town but when I went back to see if it was still there it was gone, and the guy working there hadnt seen it.. sucks.. I guess Im just gonna have to win the lottery and buy a new one..or put it on my B-day wishlist in April..

Why winter sucks..
....You cant travel.... Iv been in England for a few days and thanks to bad weather in Copenhagen my flight out was delayed. Finally in England, I spend 2 1/2 days in a sunny, not too cold, England. Lovely.
Then on my flight back... Flight from Standsted was delayed about one and a half hour due to.. ta-da... BAD WEATHER in Copenhagen.. So I was sitting there and this not very entertaining airport waiting to be let on the plane... Finally in the air, tired and grumpy, wanted to get some sleep, a very very talkactive man sat next to me and would not shut up for the whole flight...Fantastic... It was about 10.30 pm when I finally had landed, got my suitcase and got a coffee to wake me up.
Now all the trains are delayed over to Sweden due to bad weather... I wait at Kastrup in Copenhagen for over an hour, get on a train to Malmö, which was the final destination for that train, walks in to the trainstation only to find out that there are no more trains going to the town I live in... Its now 1 am, about 20 cm of snow on the ground and more coming, The battery on my phone was drained and I had no idea what to do. I am aloud to charge my phone in the station, only 4 minutes before it would close, who do I call? My mother ofcourse. She has organized that I can stay with friends over the night that lives only a 5 minute walk away from the station. Fantastic.
But... that 20 cm of snow out there is making it pretty hard to drag my 18 kg heavy suitcase full of samles, wooden lasts and old bogs and mags.. So that 5 minute walk turned out to be a 20 minute walk..
And THAT is why winter sucks
