January

The first month of this year is almost over.. only eleven more to go.

Its been a rocky month, with some ups and some more downs.

The workpart has been interesting, Iv learned alot and met some people that have had big influence on me. Iv made two trips, one to Florence and from there I went to Berlin, and both of them has been really rewarding and made me think and work in new ways. My life has started a move in a new direction this month, and Im hoping this journey will get better and better. I have a lot of plans and ideas for February, both personal and business, this month will be very busy and Im hoping that when the second month of the year is over I can look back and be satisfyed. I only have myself as company in this and my head is not a nice place to be in at the moment, its too many thoughts in there going in too many different directions.

Im looking forward to this year, if I make it through Im going to start 2011 with a whole lot more experience and knowledge than I started 2010 with.

One thing that I definitely need more of now is honest, real, happy, trustworthy people around me. Iv had a lack of that lately and it had affected my life big time.

So, lets leave this gray and cold month behind us, and hope that we have more success and happiness in the next one!

Different

Everyday I get reminded on how different the horse world is compared to the world I live in now. In the horseworld you work your ass for for nothing or not much pay, pretty much the same as in the world I now live in. The biggest difference is that when you show passion for what you do, have feel for what you do, are not afraid to spend blood sweat and tears to do what you do, in the horseworld you get something called respect.

Respect is something this world knows very little of.

And having THIS right outside your trailer is not that bad

Pitti Uomo and Bread&Butter.... what a great way to start of the new year!

Pitti had alot to offer, nice weather, beautiful location, stylish people from all over the world and alot of new good contacts. It was nice to be back at this outstandind trade show that has so much to offer

Our stand at Pitti looked so good!

It was our first time at Bread&Butter in Berlin. This show is held at the Tempelhof airport, an old airport built during the nazi time. We got alot of new german contacts here, not as much swiss, austrian and dutch as we got at Pitti.

Bread&Butter was devided into seven different parts, such as denim base, sprot&street and style society. We were in the L.O.C.K ,-Labels Of Comon Kin, area. It was dedicated to authentic  brands, using traditional methods of manufacturing and, above all, the passion and love for detail with which their high-quality products are manufactured. These kind of brands is the "new luxury".

One hell of a roadtrip..

Tomorrow morning at 8 am, Ill be starting one looong roadtrip. From home to Florence. Im sure it will be one to remember, all roadtrips are. With poor weather conditions and one fully loaded transporter Im relieved that Im not on my own this time, with company and some good music it might not be that bad. Germany is one boring country to just drive through, something I experienced when I did my prosecco haul from Italy nonstop to Bremen, probably one of the most stupid trips Iv ever done. I have never in my life been as tired as I was at 1 am that night, had been on the road since 11am and had 3 more hours to go. I was on the road for about 16 hours.. only making stops to refill on diesel and redbull. This was in July and the traffic was horrible, autobahn was full of accidents caused by tourists and traffic was standing still for several kilometers all over the place. When I felt that my eyes were close to shutting, I rolled down the windows, turned up the volume and drank another redbull. Nothing to recommend.
Now I will pack and repack my bags, try to get this uneasy feeling of my mind and hopefully, just hopefully, get a good night sleep. My mind is in a complete different place and I think it will take some time before its back here with me.

2010

Happy 2010 everyone!! How was your new years eve? Mine was awesome! It might have been the best new years eve ever, Iv always had really shitty ones before so it was definately time for a change! I start this year with tons of new ideas and plans, excitement for what lays ahead of me and relief that the old year finally is over!
2010 will be my 3d year owning my horse Grace and our first real show season together. 2010 will be the year I start to move in a new direction in my worklife, staying more busy than ever before! 2010 will be the year I spend more time with real friends and leave the others alone. 2010 will be the year I move on into a brand new, very exciting, part of my life and I will do my best with the opportunities Im given.
So I hope you all have had a great start of the new year (and if not; it can only get better) and are just as excited as me to start something new, do something different and have a lot of fun while doing it!
